Goodrich Relocation Insurance Service

Comprehensive Relocation Insurance Services

Even with the best packing and the safest driving, unforeseen events like natural calamities, accidents, or fire can happen. At Goodrich packers and movers, we believe in being 100% prepared. While we treat your goods like our own, we strongly recommend our Relocation Insurance Services to provide that extra layer of financial security. It is not just a policy; it is your peace of mind ensuring that whatever happens on the road, your value is protected.

We offer transparent, easy-to-understand insurance coverage that protects your valuable household or commercial assets against risks during transit, loading, and unloading. We have tied up with India's leading general insurance providers to offer you the best premiums and fastest claim settlements.

Understanding Your Coverage Options

We provide two primary types of insurance to suit your specific needs:

1. Transit Insurance

What it covers: This policy covers damages that occur specifically during the transportation phase (from the moment the truck starts to when it arrives). It protects against accidents, fire, collision, and overturning of the vehicle.

Best for: Improving cost-efficiency where you trust the packing but want protection against road mishaps.

2. All-Risk (Comprehensive) Insurance

What it covers: This is the most popular and recommended choice. It covers the entire lifecycle of the move: packing, loading, transit, unloading, and unpacking. It protects against scratches, breakage, dents, and damages caused by handling.

Best for: Complete peace of mind for household goods, electronics, and furniture.

What Risks Are Covered?

Our comprehensive policies safeguard you against a wide range of perils:

Physical Damage

Breakage of furniture, electronics, or glassware during professional handling.

Road Accidents

Damages resulting from collision, overturning, or derailment of the vehicle.

Natural Calamities

Loss or damage due to floods, earthquakes, lightning, or severe storms.

Theft & Fire

Protection against theft of entire packages or fire incidents during transit.

Strikes & Riots

Coverage against damages caused by civil commotion (optional add-on).

What Is Not Covered? (Exclusions)

We believe in total transparency. Insurance typically does not cover:

Owner-Packed Goods

Items packed by you (PBO) are not covered as we cannot verify their internal condition.

Jewelry & Cash

Valuables, cash, deeds, and jewelry are not covered under goods transit insurance.

Internal Defects

Electronic failure (e.g., TV not starting) without visible external impact is usually excluded.

Perishables

Food items, plants, or leakage of fluids are not covered under the policy.

Hassle-Free Claim Settlement Process

We don't want you to get stuck in paperwork. Our claims process is straightforward and customer-friendly:

  1. 1. Value Declaration: Before the move, you declare the value of your items. We assist you in creating a realistic valuation inventory. Tip: Do not undervalue your goods to save premium, as it affects the claim amount.
  2. 2. Inspection on Arrival: Upon delivery, check your goods immediately. If you spot any damage, simply note it on the delivery receipt and inform our supervisor. Taking photos is highly recommended.
  3. 3. Documentation: Submit a simple claim form along with photographs of the damaged item and the original repair bill (if applicable).
  4. 4. Survey & Approval: An independent surveyor or our internal team reviews the claim quickly to assess the extent of the damage.
  5. 5. Settlement: Once approved, the claim amount is transferred directly to your account or the repair costs are reimbursed within 7-10 working days.

Frequently Asked Questions (Insurance)

The premium is a small percentage (usually 1.5% to 3%) of the declared value of your goods. It varies based on whether you choose Transit or All-Risk insurance.

Technically, yes, but we advise against it. Insurance companies usually require the entire consignment to be insured to avoid "under-insurance" clauses during substantial loss.

Yes, providing the scratches are new and noted on the delivery receipt. We compare the condition with the pre-move inspection report to validate the claim.

Don't leave your valuables to chance. Secure your move with Goodrich packers and movers's trusted insurance solutions. Relocate with confidence knowing you are financially protected.
